Itinerary:
Saturday, March 8
Early morning departure from New York to arrive in Belize City at noon
Transfer via the Western Highway to San Ignacio, lunch on the way
After hotel check-in, we start our exploration with a visit to the first Mayan site: Xunantunich
Traversing the Mopan River by hand-cranked ferry (Hands on for those who want to try)
Overnight: Jungle Lodge in San Ignacio

Sunday, March 9
After breakfast, we will have our first day of Jungle Adventure as we explore Belize caves on foot and water inner tubes! Be prepared to get wet as the most exciting tour in the Western Caribbean kicks off. Enter an adventurous realm where rivers disappear into the underworld as you float on inner tubes with only your headlamp to lead the way.
Glide past entrances from above, filtering mists of jungle light, as you float through underground river caves sparkling with mica-studded stalactites and stalagmites filled with 1,000-year-old pottery shards, statues of fertility gods and Mayan footprints. Your guide will escort you to the top of the caves explaining on the way all of the Fauna and Flora you encounter.
You will be given the option to entering at the Cave Three or Four and start the decent into the magical underworld of the ancient Maya. This activity is a must for Belize
Optional: Canopy zipline/ repelling to the starting point of the cave tubing and get the best of both!!

Monday, March 10
After breakfast we will head out to what is considered the most adventurous activities in Belize: Green Hole Drop Caving and Abseiling Adventure! The “Mother of all Caves” …. This expedition starts off with a vigorous hike into the foothills of the Maya Mountains. The edge of the sink hole sits over 300 feet above the basin below, 200 feet above the rainforest canopy that grows out from the sink hole basin.
Fully trained caving guides rig a system of rappelling ropes for your decent to the basin below. The first 10 feet provides the adrenaline, the next 200 feet provides an unforgettable experience and sights to behold, the last 100 feet takes you down through the rainforest canopy!

Tuesday, March 11
Early morning start, head into Guatemala for our 2 day visit to world famous and historic Tikal
Day 1: After hotel check-in, spend the rest of the day exploring beautiful city of Flores and Lake Peten Itza
Shopping and dinner in Flores
Our hotel is located right on the lake which offers the most amazing sunset vistas.
Overnight: Flores/ Tikal, Guatemala
Wednesday, March 12
After breakfast, spend all day exploring the ancient and most extraordinary Mayan site of Tikal
We will have a fully guided tour and lunch in Tikal National Park
Evening: Shopping and dinner in Flores
Overnight: Flores/ Tikal, Guatemala
Thursday, March 13
After breakfast, we will leave Guatemala for our drive along the Hummingbird Highway in direction Caribbean Sea!
Stop along the way to explore St. Herman's Cave for some spelunking admiring of its stalactites
Cliff jump into and/ or swim in the 15-foot-deep Blue Hole (inland), with a picnic in the park
Later that day we will arrive at the beautiful beaches of Placencia to check into our beach front hotel
Our Stay: Beach Front Luxury Condos:
Overnight: Placencia/ Seine Bight

Amenities Include:
· Full kitchen, living and dining room, and 2 full bathrooms
· Air conditioning, ceiling fans, and veranda with hammock
· Outdoor pool just steps from rooms
· Full use of wind surfers, kayaks, hobie kats and rental bicycles
